Thats so ugly, I would hate to be caught up in that, it's really not worth it in California. I dont know about other states but here in Cali its not a good idea

I have friends that roll out to that meet every week, and they told me that it is a ton of civics that just sit there reving the hell out of there enignes. It is no wonder that the business owners finally got mad and made the police do something about it. The word of wisdom that I take from this is stay away from the Honduhsssss.

Glad the Monday night meet in Norwalk has never had problems, but then again we don't have people causing problems.

I'm not in cali however it's real biased how they treat imports versus domestics. I've known of many "antique" meets in cali (my aunt used to stay there) and there was never a problem. Those "antique" muscle cars revved their engines and a few did a burnout or two. But I guess that "antiques" are better than imports. Not saying that ricers should be doing it or anything. It's just something that I've noticed in most states. Take IL for example. There is an "exhaust" law here stating that you can't "modify" your exhaust for any reason past "stock" appearing. I've had buddy's here get tickets for "loud" exhaust as well. However when those weekend cruisers (i.e. old school camaros, mustangs, vettes, novas, etc) hit the highways they are ignored! I was in the car with one of my buddy's who had a catback on his n/t spyder when he got pulled over for "loud exhaust". funny how a nice fleet of Harley's ride past sounding about 3 times as loud as he was and yet they weren't messed with. Society is so biased....
End rant

The "antique" muscle cars you speak of usually have antique owners, as well. Generally, a more mature and responsible group than what you find in a gaggle of (illegally) modified Hondas.

Modified exhausts are illegal in 50 states.

Nobody knows what the damned Harley deal is. They're running about the worst exhausts on the planet.

It's not biased
I had a catless 3 inch turboback with a tial 38mm external gate with open dump and I never got pulled over for "noise" or "modified" anything.
People just need to learn to drive without making a ruckus in their vehicles.
I drive a Mach 1 that is catless now and its louder than my dsm was and I still dont get pulled over.
It's all in how you drive

Take a nice drive around Glendale and you will be the first to get pulled over for your loud exhaust (import cars only ). To be more specific, try San Fernando Rd.

I go to that meet alot, I just had the inside word that it was going to get busted that night. and yes it has gotten way outa hand with the honduhs doing burn outs and trying to drift there civics in the parking lot. The thing that gets me is that $503,000 in federal and state gas tax revenue to pay for overtime, nine police agencies in Riverside, California sent more than one hundred police officers to surround a gathering of automotive enthusiasts. I sure hope no one was robbing a quickie mart or anything my point is there are way bigger fish to fry then messing with some kids that have a hobby..
