Arizona DSM BBQ in July? (CA/NV welcome)

SoCal Rob and Surge are going to drive out to Phoenix later next month to help me get Daisy ready to roll to Norwalk for the shootout. I'm thinking this would be a great time to put something together in Phoenix in terms of a BBQ.

I'm tentatively thinking about Saturday, July 30th in the early evening. We could find a park, reserve a spot, grill some brats, chill some beers and have a good time. Kinda like In-And-Out or Pavilions, but with something more to do once all the cars are lined up and looking hot. We could see about getting some volleyball or softball together. Maybe pit the 4G63 owners against the 420A owners or something.

I think this would be a good time. I'm sure I can get something like 12 cars together right now between az2gnt and the guys already planning to come out from SoCal.

Anyone want to get together in a month's time? I've got this posted on the SW list and az2gnt, but will also be posting it on 2GNT as well.

Less than 24 hours later - I have 4 local DSMers who are NOT on az2gnt down for this. If my own damn site wasn't down at the moment, I would report how many az2gnters we have in on this.

me and surge will be departing friday evening, crashing with Jamez and Driggs in AZ, then saturday monin bright and early headin to wherever Driggs sets up to meet so we can do some touch ups on Daisy before her 5k mile journey, then crashing saturday night probably too if its ok with them, then heading back to back to cali cali on sunday monin. I cant wait!

I'll try to get a location nailed down in the next two weeks. I've got one in mind in south Scottsdale (we've met there before - in fact, it's the first time I met Mike and "Doris"). I'm going to see what I can do. This could be very cool.

Right now, it looks like we've got a handful of guys from the DSM_SW list looking to attend and I've got a few more than that on az2gnt down. Would be nice to see 20 cars, but it looks like at least 12 at this point.
