alright i was wondering what the loudest exhaust exhaust is. i dont want to be like those civics with only 100 hp and make that annoying sound. so if any of you have and exhaust and it is LOUD please let me know because i want the best and the loudest. thanks.

loudest exhaust = No exhaust.

If you want loud then just go with an open down pipe, best for performance too.

Open downpipe meaning no pipes after the downpipe, no cat, no muffler, nothing. It also sounds like ass. The loudest muffled exhaust I'm gonna guess is ATR from reading reviews.

This wouldn't be wasting the gsx because he wants a loud exhaust. The loudness is created by how open the exhaust is and open is good for performance so I think he's doin good.

I will be going with a full 3" buschur turbo back and a 2.5" stainless steel 02 housing, should sound good.

I am running a 3" pacesetter dp with a magnaflow bullet muffler and turned down right in front of the rear tire. It is weird sounding. It is not very good until full throttle then it sounds wicked.

but see his post never said he wanted a loud exhaust for good performance.. he just said he wanted to be like the other ricers, or even louder with the loudest exhaust.

He didnt say he wanted to be a ricer retard, leave people alone. Let him do what he wants to do. He said taht he didnt want to be like the 100 hp ricers with weed eaters.

I've got 2½" turbo back with just a glass pack. It's pretty loud, and it sounds decent. It doesn't sound like a ricer muffler.

In my opinion i think that the loudest one is The Apexi Dunk with a turbo back 3". It simply sounds sick!!!!

Mike (Sidoze on the site) has the tanabe racing medallion. i dont know if it is the LOUDEST, but it s definately loud. he tested at 107db.
he gets pulled over a lot, but it sounds great. he has a n1 dp and a hrc cat. it is really deep and sounds pretty good, definately loud, i can hear his car over mine, and i can still hear it when my WG is dumping too

hey thanks for all your replys and thats right i didnt say i wanted to be like rices with weed eaters i said i wanted a loud exhaust thanks for all the posts. i think i might be going with the n1. i was gonna get the evo until i studied and found that lots think the n1 is much louder.

hey this is just random but any body thats heard the hks titanium (4.01") tubing and 5" tip. that thing is a beast. they need to make one for the eclipse.

just get a 3'' with no cat, and a straight through muffler. no restrictions.

the hks titanium would be way too big for our cars. it would hurt performance to have something that big, from what i've read.

Good luck finding a "dead" 3" cat. If you end up going with a 2.5" exhaust, you should be able to find something "V8" that someone has removed. If you have tools, take a stock 1G cat and drill the spot welds out of the heat shield. With a bit of grinding on the edges, you should be able to remove the heat shield (the only part you can see) and weld it on to a test pipe without too much difficulty. Not that *I* would do such a thing. (Cough!)

What about mufflers... which is the loudest..., I plan on finishing up with a 3" turbo back, no cat, but i think i might change the muffler to something with a better, more raw sound

Everyone who is saying Apex'i and Greddy and Tanabe, those are nothing compared to ATR. It's the loudest, deepest, meanest sounding exhaust for DSMs. At idle it is deeper than any exhaust I have heard for DSMs. At WOT it just rips and it sounds incredible.

If you want loud, buy the ATR.
