started at 2am early saturday morning.
stopped at 10pm saturday night

20 hours there...

started again at noon sunday
finished at 10pm sunday night

10 hours there...

= 30 hours between 5 guys constantly working and figuring it all out.

As soon as I get a dual stage boost controller im going to raise up to 9lbs rather than the 5lbs im at now. The car feels great and runs great. It was definetly worth the time and money.

Furthermore, DONT GET A STAR KIT! haha :)

HOLY SH!T BATMAN 2048 X 1536 PIXELS

Dude these pcs are way to big, i'm on cable and it took forever to load up.

Looks awesome though :thumb:

STAR kits are much cheaper.
In STAR KITS you get less than what you paid for.
If you want a poorly tested, poorly supported, rarely used, cheap piece off crap.

Get a star kit.

we took the battery out obviously.. we did it just because we were dealing with the relay for the new fuel pump.

the fuel system itself is quite complicated so anyone who is going to install this kit should really study the fuel system instructions and ask questions before doing it.

make sure you have the proper tools before doing it, it will save time. I had to run to the hardware store about 4 times which was a pain in the ass.

it feels great to be boostin. unfortunatly i can't use my avcr or anything like it so i have to get a dual stage manual boost controller.. thats no big deal. but it feels nice to pull up to a gs-t and be like.. yeah.. i can smoke you with my GS. ;)

From what Apexi says; the AVCR will not work with the GS ECU. Some sort of voltage conflict.

will a aftermarket turbo on a non turbo eclipse or talon, produce more hp then a eclipse or talon with a factory turbo? Is it worth it to put a turbo on a engine with 75000 miles or should i just wait for a problem then replace the engine with a stock tsi or gst engine?

While I will admit it is a good upgrade I think Hahns stats on the kits are slightly over rated.

For example thier website sayst the following about the stage I

14.5 seconds @ 95 MPH (-1.5 seconds vs. GS-T!)

While I have no doubt that this time was done, how bad of a driver do you have to be to run 16.0 with a GS-T? Stock time for a GS-T is 15.2 with a good driver behind the wheel. You have to wiegh the price difference vs how much E.T. your actually saving. According to NADA the avg retain on a 1997 GS-T is 12,000 bucks compare that to the avg retail on the exact same year GS which is 9,500. Then add the hahn kit for 2300 plus shipping. And then add the labor to have it installed by a mechanic (I'll be conservative here) 60.00 per hour at 10 hours. Add that up and you get just over what it would have cost you to just get a GS-T with a intake, exhaust, and boost controller. So I would say either way you go you have the about the same gains for the same cost. And make no mistake if you have never done a N/A conversion it is very very labor intensive. Like "J" said its a 20 hour job for 5 guys. NOT A JOB FOR THE TIMID.

I would recommend the Hahn kit if you already have a N/A but if you are thinking about getting an Eclipse then you would probably be safer and better off in the long run just getting a GS-T. It will be cheaper and easier to get someone to work on your car. I have personally seen siueclipses setup on his car and it is really nice. In fact I like the turbo layout on it Better than a 4G63 because the turbo is so up high and in your face.

And thats all I have to say about that.

I can beat your gs-h with my stock talon awd. it isnt about the car so much as it is about the driver. I just happen to be in the southern IL area, I hope to see you around. Congrats on your car though, looks hella nice man. I really like that IC.

Well the guy that just put it on said he did absolutely nothing special. He's running a stage 2 with high compression. Pretty bad ass car.

He can write something up but it seems pretty straight forward: power, grounds, rpm signal, speed signal, throttle position...
