I just purchased auterra's OBDII dyno-logger on ebay for about the same price as pocketlogger and it is awsome. It can do twice as much as pocketlogger and then some and is extremely accurate. This is by far the best setup i have seen and i totally recommend it
Just thought i would share that with you
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43989&item=2446673885">click here</a>

The thread title is a bit of a blanket statement, no? Please clarify why it is better than other products and share your experiences using the other products as well, or this post is all but useless.

I think just about every 2g on this board will argue with you and claim that DSMlink is the best data logger and tuner available. So this should be an exciting thread to watch

Why would that be exciting? The best datalogger I have used was from

http://www.piresearch.com/home.cfm

It wasn't cheap though, I think it was about $20K+spare parts per bike. But it allowed for track mapping, suspension logging, fast lap times displayed to the rider in real time, and a whole bunch of nifty features like that.

I found the website for that product and it looks to me that it is more for the averge joe while the pocketlogger is more for the dsms. I didn't see any thing that really would help in tuning besides the timing advance screen. I don't think that it reads the knock sensors or air fuel ratio like the pocketlogger does.

I don't have either i was just going off of thier websites.

Yes, I have used pocketlogger and all of the other Free programs (palmnstein, mmcd) and this is just as easy to use as pocketlogger but has many more features and seems to sample faster and is reliable. Dyno is fairly accurate also +- 8.5 hp from the real thing.

its not very expensive.. but you gotta buy buy a palm pilot.. so tack that on to the cost..

yes they do have more features, but autura's datarate is alot slower. A second gear data log brings up only 3-4 RPM points

I checked their site and the thing I like about it is that it can be used with way more handhelds than some other products.

So how how many rpm points does the pocketlogger give you?

Hey any of you with auttera.
Do you think that you could send me the software for the palm.
I have all the hardware just not the software.
Thanks

You should be able to find it on the net, we don't allow people to be able to "request" software.
