will the predator hood fit a 97 spyder? someone told me it wouldn't. if it wont whats the difference in the hood?

why wouldnt it? if it was made for a 97-99 eclipse it will fit.

well i figured the reason was because the engine types and the construction under the hood.

as long as it is a non turbo, it will fit fine with no modifications. if you have a turbo, the timing belt cover sticks up a bit (hence the bump in the oem hood) and it wont fit without modifications. though, i havnt done it and i dont know people who have, so i dont know what those modifications are.

anybody know what kind of modifications you have to do?? I want that hood on my GS-T

probably just notch the underbody of the hood. It doesnt even fit NTs without them having to move the PCM and the radiator overflow bottle.

Actually it will fit nt without moving anything. I have this hood on my car and it fit very nicely. Bought mine fron Autogear.

see thats what i thought, there are a couple of guys on 2GNT who have the predator hood and they both had to move the pcm and radiator overflow bottle. Is yours aerogear though, cuz I suspected that they ended up with a knock off. Im def going to get that hood in the future

i know for sure the aerogear hood will fir on none turbos . i am notsure about the knock offs

I have a predator hood on my GST....you have to modify under the hood....i still have to do some cuz it scrapes against the timing belt cover.

It will fit 2g turbos, I had to take my TB cover off and "modify" my strut towers a bit (pound in) but its well worth it...
