Best Wideband??

AEM UEGO here, $273 from slowboy, very friendly and accurate. Mine is off a gauge though so I'm not sure what would work best if you plan to use a laptop. EUGO and the lC-1s use a Bosch sensor, which typically doesn't last as long as the more expensive brands like FJO, which use NTK. As long as it's for daily driving and occasionally tunes for the track you'll be ok, but the bosch sensors burn out pretty quick on race gas. BUT, the bosch sensor replacements I've been able to find for like $40....so it all depends on how long you plan to use the product and what your intentions are for it. Best of luck!

Does the gauge cycle back and forth like the crapola narrowband or does it stay in the general vicinity of what the a/f is actually doing? I dont see why a laptop would be needed if the guage works correctly.

The way I see it is you have four "cheap" options. The innovate LC-1, the AEM UEGO, the PLX m-300, and the Zeitronix.

each has upsides and downsides and you need to figure out what works best for you based on your application. If you would like to know the differences between them, ask that question.

There is rarely, if ever, one "best" part. If you are experienced in the automotive aftermarket you would understand that everything is a compromise between price, performance, and quality.

I think this would be a great thread. We should try and get some info from members as to what they like and don't like about the wideband they use. That would help more people then just saying this one is great.

i use 2 wide bands aem uego all the time in the car and i use innovate lm1 when i tune
they both are user frienly and the innovate can be log internaly is awsome

At WOT its pretty accurate. I mainly watch the Lambda output, but I tune for about 11:1 11.5:1 and the wideband reads around there as well. During Low throttle it stays around Stoich

Because you can datalog your AFR with a laptop, and you cannot with a gauge.

It's nice to be able to compare your AFR along with RPM, timing advance, etc., after a run.

No, you're looking at the LC-1 + gauge combo. I was referring to just the LC-1 by itself. Here's it is on Summit's site for $199:

PS - I sent you a PM.

Hey what do you guys think about the Zeintronix (however you spell it) wideband? I was thinking of going with that one but now I see the LC-1 for 200 so what would be the advantage if any of going with the Zeintronix over the LC-1?? I just want to beable to able to log rpm with the afr on a laptop. Can I do that with the LC-1? Thanks

I'm also looking into wideband, and was wondering whats the cheapest wideband out there that i can log? does the lc-1 log? thank you
