Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove that nite shades spray off of my tails. I didn't want to go out there and mess them up trying to get it off with sand paper ROFL

Try trading someone yours for stock, there are alot of people that would consider that. And to answer the question, no, I don't know how to take it off.

try wax and grease remover.. its not as strong as acetone but it might do the trick.. if that doesnt then go to acetone.. that will def. get it done

If they werent masked, I would trade with you. And mine are cracked in a couple places from age anyways. Good luck in removing them though. :dsm: :talon:

Edit: Where did you get that nightshade stuff anyways? I am looking to shade my taillights, but there isnt an Autozone ANYWHERE in western Wisconsin. Closest one to here is in Minnesota.

The white on my tails is only velcroed on, it comes off real easy. I bought the Nite Shades off the internet, it was $11.00 including shipping. One can covered both my tails and i still have about 1/4 of a can left.

What would be the worst outcome of the Acetone?? I really messed mine's up as well. You can also try Goo Gone, but your arm will be sore the next day.

Don't use chemicals, some good old fashion elbow grease works wonders. I used Mother's polish to remove overspray and swirls from a spare set of tail lights. After that I used some polishing compound, and they came out great.

Hey Brad, click this for nightshades: http://www.pitstopusa.com/detail.aspx?ID=50412
I bought some from here.

Using Acetone would work but it will also eat the gloss off the tails and they would appear dull and sometimes you can get a fog like effect.

If you get some 1000 grit sandpaper and sand the hell out of them, you can buff them shiny again. Or take it to a shop and have them do it for you. Same thing if you use chemicals.

Paint reducer... i just used black paint with some omni clear coat... came out perfect.. but paint reducer does it.. just take a rag and douse it with reducer and take 2 or 3 clean wipes and its all gone...
