thought some fellow dsmer's might like this idea. I've heard of other people putting the cd player in the center vent, but i never saw pics of it done before. I had to take out the whole dash to install it. i really like having it in the vent though.

Do you have issues when you hit bumps, like the CD skipping? I just wondered about that, because most cd players can be installed at certain angles front to back but not left to right. Anyway...it looks pretty sweet.

One question though, does anybody know if you could do that with running air conditioning? I would attempt to do that if the cd player didnt get damaged by the ac.

Looks good in the 1g. I did it in my 2g and haven't got around to doing it in this one yet. I always wondered how long it would take someone else to think of that idea.

nope, the cd player works fine. It has probably only skipped once in the whole 2 months i've had it in the center vent.

I think you can, i just blocked off the center vent where the air is suppose to come through so that when i have the heat on it wont come to my cd player.

Ive done it on a friends car - i didnt really like how it turned out.
