i rotated the engine little by little a few times and checked each roller to see if i could find one thats loose.. no luck, im about to pull the cams and check each roller one by one would i be wasting my time? what else could it be? could my balance shaft be causing this? this really isnt vibration, but buzzing...

the engine ran fine when cold but when it heated up it developed major knocking.. so i drove it downt he road to a shop and when i came back home the buzzing started.. now it buzzes warm or cold.

i checked my timing and my rear balance shaft with the screw driver but didnt check the front one. i can actually wiggle the front sprocket a little bit, are they supposed to have play? i know there arent bearings just shafts

any help is appreciated. i need a suggestion on this and where to start looking so i can get it fixed!

thanks

pull the pan, pray you don't find copper.

If you do your better off getting a running/good to go short block.

Overall does the car run alright, except for the buzzing ?

Sounds like a valve is stuck open and the cam is tapping the crap out of it.

Nother thing is, maybe the rear BS is still active, and the front BS is disabled, that woud cause a vibration like you mentioned.

Hope you get it sorted out.
