When my turbo blew, it ripped up the stock o2 sensor.

so now that i have the new turbo in, and i have a tubular o2 houseing, i need a new o2 sensor to run.

i have a stock honda 4-wire laying around that i could cut the plug off and soder on the plug of the stock DSM wire o2.

my other option is, i have a wideband, and controler, and dataloging software.

the wideband could be used to replace the stock o2, but i need to know what wire on the ECU is the narrow band input, and what do i do about the heater circut?

on the honda's when i put the wideband in, i can disable the circit in uberdata. sense uberdata does't work for my TSI what options do i have?

I could leave the mangled o2 pulged in, but it would get hot and i would have to find a place for it in the enginebay. i would also have to cut the signal wire, so i can use the signal from the wideband.

let me know any thoughts or comments you have.

I know buying a replacement o2 is the best option, but money is tight, and i wanna be able to drive the car today or tomarow.

anyone?

i really wanna be able to drive this car on sunday.

let me know your opinions. and i need that ECU pinout.

thanks

are the oxygen sensors used in our DSM's anyting special, or is it just a standard narrow band 4wire o2?

If i could just wire in that 4wire honda sensor that would be my cheapest option.

let me know if anyone has ever done this.

also are all of the o2 sensors the same from model to model? Meaning is the regular talon n/a the same o2 as the TSI, same with the eclipse and lazer? could someone let me know if they are all the same. (trying to buy one on ebay for half the cost of a new one.)

also if i run my wideband o2, will i have to leave the stock 02 in so i don;t break the heater circit? or doesn;t it matter. in a honda if you pull the o2 plug, you get a cel, and you run in limp mode. didn;t know if DSM's were the same.

anyone know if i leave the stock o2 unpluged if i will get a check engine code?

it will throw a Cel with the any o2 unpluged.. as for the honda o2, not sure

so when you guys street tune, do you just use the stock o2 sensor readings?

or do you throw in a wideband and use that?

on a honda, i pull the stock o2, unplug it, use my tuning software to disable the o2 heater, then i make some runs, and datalog the a/f ratio.
(the wideband has a narrow band output that sends a sends a signal to the ECU)

in my 90 TSI i was going to unhook the stock o2, and replace it with the wideband, tap the ECU and send the narrow band signal from the wideband, but what do i do about the stock heater circit? how do i keep it from throwing a code?

should i leave my junk o2 hooked up, and just zip tie it out of the road?

or is there someway to disable the o2 heater circit, and not throw a cel?

is the stock o2 sensor a narrow band out put or wideband output?

also has anyone used a wideband Ziertronix wideband? (zt-2)
