i am looking to buy some springs for my 97 tsi awd, and every website i look at(alomst) doesnt offer springs specially for the adw turbo, just the 2wd turbo. I do see some springs on the Tein website for the 3000gt awd turbo, would these work on my talon or not?

what are some good springs you guys use, price really isnt a probem, most are between 200-300 anyway. would these 3000gt springs work or not?

thanks guys

how is eibach for ride? how far of a drop would you reccomend?

It has a good ride, I recommend the prokit because it's less of a drop (1.25-1.5) but has better ride quality. Also shocks play an important role in the ride quality.

see i was thinking about a 2 inch drop or so, but i am not sure if that is the best idea for north dakota haha

Everyone thinks about a 2inch drop right away. If you really want to lower your car that much you will start looking into more expensive suspension components, such as "good' adjustable coil-overs.

I went with the Pro-Kits and Tokico Illuminas as most people do. I didn't think 1.25 inch drop would be that noticeable but it looks great in my opinion. If you really want to drop your car more look into the Tokico springs and Illuminas package. I believe that's somewhere between 1.5 - 1.75. Just remember that you the lower you go the more you are gonna scrape up that beautiful 97 bumper.

Then I would recommend the Eibach Sportlines. I use them and they have been great. They will lower your car about .6" more than the ProKit.......

It's hard to judge just spring on ride quality. Like L2R said, shocks will play a big role in quality. As will tires. My car rode great when it's tires were new, but one summer later, I felt every little imperfection in the road..... It's easy for many people to blame poor ride quality on the springs, when they are actually many other factors involved......

ok have you guys heard about Tanabe GF-210? they are about 1.2" drop, and you are supposed to be able to keep the comfort of stock springs, any opinions?

thanks for all the help!
