cold air intake

thats normally what you get with ebay products. it can work... but it might be a little tight. you do have the shorter part connected to the throttle body right? you might have to take off part of what holds the battery on to fit that top piece in. it will be tight but it will work :dsm:

i took the battery holder out and it still dont work...please help

the short part connects the throttle body, with the elbow closer to the throttle body than not. Then you put on the longer part with the circled part in the picture at the top and the other end connected to the filter coming out in front of the tire, right behind the front bumper. You might need to move your horn, just get down under the car and if the hon is in your way it should just swing around. Hope this helps, my ebay intake works and fits great.

P.S.
You will prolly get more air if you remove the foglight cover things.

if its the fact that you cant put the airfileter on at the end what you mght want to do is put the airfilter on the longer piece then connect the longer piece to the elbow that worked for me without removing the horn

I didnt have to take my hron off, it just kinda sung around b/c it is only held on by one bolt.

try removing your whole battery, thats what i gotta do when i need to take off my intake. oh and throw away that battery cover, it wont fit with a cold air.

Yeah I say remove the battery then install. I had just had my brother pull the battery towards the fender while I installed the coupler and pipe to the throttlebody.
TIP: DO NOT cut the couple to fit the pipe to the TB, they gave you the right sizes you just gotta finagle them in, I made that mistake and had to buy a Home depot plumbing adapter(which was nicer than the supllied couplers)

they fit, just the ebay intakes throttly body connecting pipes dont clear as well as the expensive ones. When i had a 2g NT i had to remove the battery tray too. and you have to cut out some plastic peices where the air filter is.

if it is rainy or snowy id either not drive the car or make it a short ram.

I had bought a bomz racing off ebay for my gst and it didn't fit either. That just goes to show what kind of quality products they make. :thumbdown I ended up just buying an Injen since Extreme Psi was all out.

ok ty for all the help guys ill try to remove the bat and put it in as soon as i get my car back...my sister has it for a few days...ill let u guys know how it goes.

the one that i bought off of ebay did not give me much of a problem, all that i had to do was remove the battery, after that it gave me no problems. but now i need to buy a k&n air filte to replace the one that i got with teh kit.

I also bought a cai from ebay for about 50 bucks and tried to install it but and it did not fit right so I trash and ordered aem cai

I ordered a short ram from ebay for 8.99 (18.99 shipped) and it did not fit quite right but I just squeezed it in and it works fine now. First thing I bought was a K&N with the x-tream flow top. I love the sound of the intake. later

Okay, bro! dont fret. i will give you a walkthrough with photos! :thumb: i know the pain u are feeling as it took me about 4.5 hours to fenagle my intake in. so here ya go! enjoy! hope this helps

allright first off. you will need a small saw to trim one of the aluminum spouts on the longer piece of pipe. also get some silicone gasket maker in a tube, i used that to plug that hole. fitting the pipes will take some pushing, sweat and swearing on your end also. its really helpfull if u have a buddy to help you out, a second set of hands is nice when ur doin this. first off those metal flanges in the picture, i marked them item #1, forget those, u can throw them out or what u want, they are useless. at first i thought they hold stuff, but no. chuck it.

next order of business is you removing the stock intake pipes. you'll need a screwdriver set, phillips and flathead. some socket wrenches will help a lot. its not involved, just kinda uncomfortable when u get into the airbox to get the screws out. it shouldnt take you long. dont force things, if its not coming off then look for more bolts, clips or screws to take out. get a small saw and cut off the spout marked #2. it will not let the pipe slide down past the 2 hoses by the radiator fan. my intake pipes are red, so dont worry, its the same thing tho.

once that spout is cut off, plus it with silicone or what you want. i used silicone gasket maker for mine and its been working fine. next thing you'll need to do it attach a silicone coupling to the throttle body. attach the elbow piece to it, put on the hose clamp on the throttle body but dont tighten it yet, do that last once all the pieces are together. slide in the longer pipe under the 2 hoses, filter goes on last. the elbow will prolly rub up against the battery, just push it in. connect the two pipes with the silicone coupler number two. get under the car, and bend back the plastic shroud there. it sits vertical, bend it towards the outside of the car, it flexes dont worry. push the filter towards the pipe with the clam on the filter. fit it together like that, without tightening anything. move it around so it sits fine and doesnt hit too much stuff. then start tightening the clamps. here's how the filter will sit. this is a view from the top.
