First I just wanna say this thing is pure sex...I've riden/driven in alot of cars but the awd kicks ass !!! Launches are amazing !!! I am freaking falling in love with this car...

Well for those who don't know I bought the car with these mods already done to it :

Big 16g
Act 2600 clutch (had problems getting used to it but it kicks ass)
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
1g Bov
MBC
Intake

I mean besides the ricey stickers on the door which will be coming off asap and a ding here and there the car is in pretty good condition. I had the compression checked and it was around 172psi on each cylinder...I read up that 178psi is perfect compression on a 2g turbo dsm. The ride is perfect - the only other thing is that I will have to get a new radio (stock one is shot) and the passenger door handle is broken. The only bigger problem that I noticed is a buzzing sound coming from the back wheel - the guy said it's a bad rear wheel bearing so I trusted him for once really didn't examine it yet...(only comes on sometimes not really annoying). The car has cut springs right now but I got a new set of Einbach Sportlines with the purchase gotta install those asap...maybe get some aftermarket shocks and install @ the same time possibly. Well anyways, I will first be doing maintenence before I get into modding...timing belt and waterpump are getting replaced asap, and fluids will be replaced as well (am I missing something that needs to be replaced as well ?)...really sweet ride, I'll get some pics up in the morning...Engine looks fine, no rough idle or anything, as of right now everything that needs to be cool is (except the turbo after a while of driving - very hot as my friend experienced LOL)...but anyways I would greatly like to thank everyone on these forums that helped me with my questions etc ...So now I guess I should be considered czech09 the dsmer eh LOL ? :D :dsm: :talon: :dsm: :talon: :thumb:

just to tell you incase no one told you in any other thread, the wheel bearing will be about $300 installed, and the noise will get worst if thats what it is. the door handle will cost you about $135 for the handle itself and to paint it and if you install it yourself. the install is a complete pain in the ass!!! . i know all of these from experience. good luck

OMG OMG OMG OMG My god where did you buy your door handle? MachV sells them for 72 and I'm sure if you knew someone at Mitsu that you could get one cheaper than that. As far as paint, buy two and leave em black. http://machv.com/doorhandle9094.html

i got my handle from mitsu. i didnt really car it was so much cause my dad said he would pay for any maitnance stuff :shhh: so im cool there. its way cheaper to only buy the one door handle and paint it than it is to buy 2, unless you get them for 72 like you said, but then you gotta install 2 door handles, plus it makes it look like an RS :barf:

You're going to love the car more every day as time goes by. Be careful with launching too much. Remember than an AWD drivetrain has a lot more parts to break, and a lot more expensive parts at that. Also, AWD trannies are very expensive all by themselves.

Thanks guys Vrooooooooooooooom Pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssh :dsm: :talon: :thumb:

To tell you how much I love dsms LOL - here on vacation with my cousin he drives a renault megane of course not a turbo car - when he shifts I imitate the turbo sound myself LOL :p - can't wait to get back to my car

Big huge red flag that no one mentioned: Eibach Sportlines will eat your stock shocks alive. DO NOT put them on without aftermarket shocks, period.

That's all. :) Welcome to the world of AWD.

hahaha thnaks for mentioning that I should get aftermarket shocks as well I'll do that - is it a pain in the ass to replace the springs - how long would it take me as a beginner ? thanks

45 min on the first one and 20 min for every other. It always takes the first one to see what you actually have to do. ;)
