i just purchased some BPR6EKN's, i wanted ES's but EKN is all Autozone had, got em for 12 bucks. My question is whats different from the EKN to the ES? did i buy a worse spark plug or a better one ooorrr does it even matter?

okay cool, so the ekn has this-The side electrodes, or 2 ground electrodes, are used by the industry for a couple reasons. One is to increase the life of the spark plug without having to use the more expensive material (platinum or iridium) and the second is an anti-fouling measure.

and the ES just has the standard stuff. SSSoooo the EKN is better right???? having the special electrode stuff wont make it perform worse then the ES? just make it last a bit longer right??

aww crap, thanks for the link though. Can someone that knows about the EKN answer my last question?

I'm using the EKN's right now. Basically they're just dual tips and you don't need to gap them. They work just as well as the 6ES. My car runs with no problems at all with it. Your lucky your autozone carries NGK's, the one around here doesn't even have any at all only bosch. I paid $20 for all 4 of mine.

okay i just got my EKN's...i wish i got ES though so next time i am, LOL. So how do i make sure these things are gapped right, or do i not need to check like he says??? or is it a one gap size for all type of thing. I dont really wanna trust that the guy benind the counter got the right ones so i really wanna check em unless theres no point in checking....
