Well, the car has been running for a good while now. I was just out tuning it tonight, getting it ready for the track tomorrow. I cranked the fuel pressure a little bit and went inside and cranked the boost. After doing a couple pulls and changing a few things, it was running awesome. 52 lb/min at only 12 degrees of timing advance (was to be addressed later) on about 29-30 psi. Strange thing is, I still had plenty of fuel on my 950's and pump gas, and it was hardly knocking. We went back out again to deal with the below par timing advance when apparently something went wrong with my oil cap causing it to blow off, spewing oil everywhere. This lead to some funky electrical/ignition system problems which I am not about to touch with a 10 foot pole right now. But overall, I was highly impressed at the numbers it put out. :thumb:

You aren't allowed to see a pic of my engine bay messy :p . But here are a couple interesting ones...

Sounds awesome, dude. :thumb: Sucks about the oil cap - I did that once - yeah, thats a real mess.

What kind of boost threshold are you getting with the 3052+2.3L combo? Under 3500rpms by chance?

Wierd thing about those oil caps. heh heh You need the JDM Blitz 42.3 BAR oil cap. :p

Are you running an oil catch can, by chance?

Go out there and get some dyno numbers! :thumb:

i love the look

Wait... Pump Gas? OMG OMG OMG . That's insane! You gotta get us some hp figures with that monster.
Also with boost, what is the bar to psi conversion? I thought it was something like 14ish psi equals one bar...

Damn, everything about your car is amazing! Any update on the "funky" electrical problems you were having, and what numbers did you wind up posting at the track?
Great Numbers :thumb: x infinity

1 Bar = 14.7 psi = 1 atm(atmosphere)

2 Bars = 29.4 psi OMG

and yeah, that is INSANE on pump gas

Haha, thanks guys . The other, possibly more insane thing, is that while running 30psi on pump gas I should be able to get around 18-20 degrees of advance out of it. Time will tell. I wasn't about to take it to the track with the problems it's having. Every aspect of driving is messed up. There has to be some kind of short somewhere, I'll mess around with it later. But I figure after all is said and done, I should easily be able to flow 55+ lb/min on pump. :p

Are your spark plug wells filled with oil and crap?

Get a new gasket for your cap, they harden up fairly quick and then do not work.

Dang, bringing back an old thread, not ancient though. Glad they did though, that is an awesome setup. Do you have any track times yet? Awesome dyno numbers! I envy you!

I would check the engine if the oil blew through the cap. It sounds kinda like a compression blow by, causing oil to be held in the head without being able to return through the oil return passages. Hopefully this is not the case.

O.K. really, can anyone figure out how he is able to run this much boost on pump? I'm going to be running a very similar setup in my car. Is he using water or propane injection?
