I live in Colorado. The scene is not dead. I don't drag race though.

There are quite a few dsmers in Co Springs.

I would recommend using the track in Morrison. It is ALOT better than the one in Pueblo!

Is the snow/salt going to tear my car up? Sorry I have never lived in the snow.

Morrison is a little farther...maybe another 30-40 minutes, depending on which end of the Springs you live on (north or south).

As for the snow and ice, Co Springs does not use salt, but an even more corrosive chemical (I can't remember the name of it). And a LOT of gravel. I just make sure I keep my car clean, especially the undercarriage, after each snowstorm melts off. The biggest PITA is the gravel dinging your paint.

The scene here in the Springs is not dead, we even have one of the best (if not THE best) DSM shops in the state here in town. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, and friendly to boot

Get on CODSM.org and RMDSM.org to meet more local owners, too.

Welcome!

The chemical is called Mag Chloride. Just make sure you wash your car often and I doubt you will see any decrease in your paints quality. The rocks are a pain though.

The Morrison track (Bandimere) is like 100x better than the one in Pueblo, trust me. Its further and worth the extra distance.
