It's been 4 months, 10 days, 16 hours since my last autocross, and I was having some serious withdrawal. Nothing like whuppin' on the NY Porsche Club to get in the groove again.

I let my recovering Miata driving friend co drive (he was a bit closer to me than last time he drove my car, since he finally realized that the Miata really isn't THAT much smaller than a Talon).
Gave the GoPro footage to another friend and he whipped this up: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idQHderqlBU]AutoCross-Breel - YouTube[/ame]

Car is a 95 Talon prepped for STX on virgin Dunlop Star Spec II's

Looks like alot of fun :) might have to give this a try this season :)

Definitely want to try this one day. :thumb:

I've got a couple YouTube videos from running with the Twin Lakes Motorsports Club, up in Barrie, Ontario. Nice club, worth the drive up.

Finally bought some decent video editing software (Windows Live Movie Maker sucks), and put together the following from 6 different camera angles:

Bought a second GoPro Hero3, and along with my original HD GoPro, put togethere some 3 PIP videos:

Very cool shots! I would have liked to heard more of the engine, is your exhaust just that quiet?

My 3" Megan downpipe/high flow cat/no muffler exhaust got damaged pulling the car off the trailer last year, so I'm currently running the stock dp/cat with the cat back portion entirely removed (my old D Stock setup). So it's not that quiet, last time I drove a dsm with the full stock exhaust it felt like driving an electric car.

How are you liking those ZII's? Are they living up to the hype?

So far, and driven in 40-55 degree temps, I've been very happy.
It's been a couple years since I've bought new tires for the STX car, so I can't say how much of the difference is just fresh rubber, but straight out of the box, no scrub in at all, they grip.

In the past I've tried the Bridgestone RE-11, Toyo R1R, and the original Star Spec and found the Dunlop to be fastest. Although I will probably pick up a set of the BFG Rival at some point.
