This was a no brainer to start with.

Yes the France team driving a Mitsubishi PAJERO aka "Montero in U.S" won the Dakar Rally finishing in 1st place on JAN 20 / 07

I know this has nothing to do with autocross or road course but I though you guys might wanna know :)

:dsm: proven the best again!!

This win would be Mitsubishi's 7th consecutive victory, and their 15th overall, making them the most winningest manufacturer of this rally.

Gosh, it'd be swell if SPEEDTV still covered the Paris-Dakar, the last real race on the planet. But I guess they think the NASCAR Bud-drinkers would rather watch "Gone in 60 Seconds" or something else from the dollar bin at Wal*Mart.
Meanwhile, Versus gives us a whole hour at a time. Big effing deal.

God damn SPEEDTV.

Not fair that Mitsubishi won. They're too experienced with cars that fall apart all the time, and realize they need to carry an extra drivetrain besides the usual motor, turbo and suspension parts while other manufacturers were left with asking their drivers, "How did you break that part?"

Yeah #### the DSMTuners PINKS car...lets do the Paris Dakar

It's nice to watch the few hours of the Rolex 24 at Daytona they're showing, but what the hell does "Every Which Way But Loose" even peripherally have to do with CARS?

yeah that really blows that the rolex isn't on from 9pm - 5 am. Me and my dad used to stay up all night and watch it but since they only show little time of it theres no point anymore.

Its getting bad on how little they are showing WRC, F1, WoO, and even the Baja 1000, Corra coverage is lacking to.

Money talks. Speed saw the huge revenue potential in running 24/7 NASCAR and that's what we now have. I remember at one time watching world rally, endurance races..... real racing on Speed.

The Montero win was awesome.
