my 99 gst throttle body

how come my TB on my car only has 2 vacuum lines going to the top of it?

It has 2 ports with nipples on them, and thats all, there seems to be a 3rd port but there is nothing coming out if it, its just got a little ball looking plug in it

and 2 vacuum lines going to the top where i see most TB's have 3

did they change something in 98-99???


I dont think its ever been touched or anything

im in the process of buying a 1g tb and just wanted to know that it was still going to work, and why i only had 2 vacuum lines there

I'm going to try to attach a pic comparing 97 and 98 T-bodies. It seems that the P port is not used on a 98. I don't know why, but wanted to set your mind at ease.

i don't know, but just swap it out for a 1g throttle body since u have it out and port match your intake manifold to it. Cheap, but good mod for some top end pwr.
