Why could this be?
94 awd

I have the APEXI TT
I have it plugged in WITH harness... in my 1g, and the unit works lights come on and all, but car NEVER turns off. The number doesn't count down I don't know if it is suppose to or not, just sticks at the setting I have it at (2:00) I followed the instructions and the "support" has nothing to do with this kind of help, so don't flame me, if you can help, please do, thanks :)

even If i unplug the turbo timer completly (remove ground)
the car wont even die... I have to kill it in 3rd... :(

Could this be beacuse I do not have the o2 plugged in to the ecu? or the handbrake safety feature not plugged in.

if you have the right harness then the only thing that could affect it is the timer. Bascially the timer keeps the igniton signal going for the set time(you already know that). If you have it programmed right then its the timer thats your problem if not try playing around with it and set it up differently.

Well I do not own a apexi TT but a Greddy. On mine when not hooked up to the parking brake would also stay on, but also flash an error code. There is more than 1 type of harness for the greddy TT's. I am not to sure about apexi, but I suggest looking into it. If all else fails reinstall and hook everything up, ie. parking brake, speed sensor, ect. Hope thid helps a little.

Yeah all the harnesses are the same and dsmparts uses the hks one for whatever reason.

but yeah ill try hooking up the parking brake option when i get my car back from the electrical problems getting fixed, LOL I gave em a car that wont shut off LOL I like to see how fast they call me. :p

I was just told that apexi does have there own harness. At a last resort, purchse one of those.
Car won't turn off......LOL. how many tech does it take to turn off your car...LOL. I can picture them standing there scratching there heads. hmmmmm.:D

Yeah they do have their own, but if you look at the products, exact same in every way... So im really doubting the fact that the problem lies in the harness

BUT THEN AGAIN

the car wont turn off even if the TT is unplugged (as in ground is not connected)

Got me...

Well I just got burned by 3 harnesses in these last few weeks. All the harnesses apeared the same but hey were not. But like you said, a ground is missing, thats what greddy said when I called them for some over the phone trouble-shooting. They wanted me to change my ground. Anyways keep me posted and this should be an easy fix. I hate TT's. :p
