Most common is the spark plug well seals on the underside of the valve cover or the valve cover gasket. They get hard and torn over they years so thorough cleaning and new gasket(s) will probably solve your problem.

use carb cleaner and make sure you get it spotless before you start looking, could be an ooooooold crack that has been gunked up by residue. I didnt take any chances and used the extra 4 hours to clean my VC proporly just in case.

oh, and dont buy your gaskets from crystler!!! learned that the hard way that they're twice as expensive.

You can go to your local Advanced Auto store and order the Felpro brand gasket...it includes all you need: VC gasket & sparkplug well rings. Felpro is a product of Chyrsler and cost only about $18....got this tip from a fellow tuner guy so I figured it's my turn to pass the tip on.
