ok i started noticing this about 4 weeks ago and it has gotten worse with the cold weather in jersey. when i start the car and get up to 25 mph all the sudden theres a very loud rubbing grinding noise coming from the back driver side of the car. it only occurs when im applying gas. it does go away after about 15 min of driving but it is extremely annoying and gets louder with acceleration. im thinkin maybe its a crack in the exhaust piping but i truthfully dont even though if thats a problem you can have. sry bout length any help is appreciated.

I am not sure if this is even close but its hard to figure out a sound by a description. I had a similar problem with my 1g and it turned out to be a sticky passenger brake caliper. Sometimes it make a horrible grinding noise and others it was quite as can be. I know you said it gets louder as you press the gas but without hearing it, thats the best I can think of at the moment that could just come and go. Next time it happens, puh lightly on the brakes while still driving and see if it goes silent. Mine always would. Hope yo get it figured out man.:thumb:
