Annapolis,
hey guys i need help i have a nt 96 talon and i have a vacuum leak around the injector #4 port. and cant figure out what it is....

bought new orings...still leaking. idle is at 1600 give or take a few hundred.
Any ideas of what this could be?

any and all replies are very oppreciated . thanks jey

Did you replace the insulators also? I think that is what they were called, but there are the insulators and o-rings. That should fix your problem. What I did when I replaced my o-rings was lube them with some 100% 50wt. silicone oil. You can use any weight really, but I had mine sitting around that I bought from the local hobby store awhile back. Its whats used in RC car shock assemblies.

About your idle... Have you tried to adjust your BISS idle screw? You have a 2.0DOHC engine so it will be on top of your throttle body. Make sure to ground the approiate timing plugs while you do this.

Good luck :thumb:

Is your fuel rail bent or the mounting tabs bent causing the rail to not seat all the way in the bored holes?

Cheers,
GTM

first thing...the bent rail...awesome what would be the best way to fix or check that out?

and insulators? are those different from o-rings?? cause i did replace the orings and it still did it....

yeah the insulators are different then the o-rings, theyre on the bottom of the injector, you can order them from napa or something theyre cheap. definately try replacing them

do the insulaters look just like the o rings cause when i got a set of orings for one injector there was one on top and one that goes into the fuel rail?

as i know the rail isnt bent but ill double check . thanks guys
