Ok, picked up a 90 talon awd with a blown motor. swapped out the motor with a jdm motor and used all sensors, manifold, ect from my stock motor.
ok, this car has some factory security option on it. i have not been able to get in touch with the previous owner about disarming it. he told me that at times its kinda funky, not working correctly. well when i go to start the car, i'll hear relays and some other sounds, get all the lights in the dash but the starter won't even crank.
my question is, does this security disable the starter. i've done a search and seen it mentioned but need to know how to get around this. i pulled the security fuse to try it as well and still nothing. i'm unable to test to see whether i'm getting power to the starter since no one is home to help at the moment. i've also swapped starters and still nothing.
does anyone know about this stock security and what is disables and how to turn it off so i can possibly start my car?

Correct, the factory alarm will not start the car with the alarm ON.

try jumping a wire from the bettery to the starter solenoid wire, and see if it will crank that way.

if it cranks, then either the alarm is messing with the system, or a fuse or wireing is messed up.

also,
krazykorean had some starter issues, and it was someting about a relay. so mabye hit him up for some info.

thanks man, i thought about trying that and will. the fuse was fine, i'm going to swap the relay if the starter starts. right now i'm sick as hell so it's going to have to wait till the weekend :( i'm hoping that will work, then its time to trace the wiring. only other thing that has been messed with is the stereo (kid took his speakers back before he sold me the car)

my stereo wires were guttted, and half of my shit didnt work,

so, good luck and feel better

Is there a factory alarm on a 1G?
yep, its a security thing. there is a relay and fuse for it under the dash. i'm going to swap out the relay, put the stereo all back together, test to see if i have power at the starter and go from there. to turn the security off, its suppose to go off when you unlock the car with the key. i've done a search but its been sketchy as far as what the specifics are. the kid also doesn't seem to want to answer his phone calls.... but i will get him and i will get this car started...:|
