NON DSM speedo problem

My speedometer doesn't work when its cold outside. It has to be warmed up before it starts to work, and even then it stops at 35 until i've been driving with the heat on for a long time. Then it finally starts to work. It didn't do this until winter came. Any suggestions.

Replace the drive cable.
