recently my 95 talon recieved a 6 bolt form a 93 eclipse the engine had 20 miles on it. we put hks 264/272 cams in the car before the swap. we just got the car out on the road and when i was cruising at 65 all the sudden it miss fired and continued to until i stopped the CEL came on but i just took i out with the palm pilot. the question is does anyone know why the car would miss like that at cruise and then stop like nothing was wrong. i know the 1g cas will cause the CEL to come on but i dont know about the miss. any input would help
thanx

Perhaps some misinformation was spread to you. A 6 bolt swap will most likely cause the Radom Misfire itself. It wont just cause the little light to turn on. The only real fix is a standalone or DSMLink. There are two temporary fixes. One is the potetiometer mod described on the magnus page and the other is to simply unplug the TPS (throttle position sensor). If you are using and AFC then unplugging the TPS will deny you not the use your Hi map. The Baro mod you will need some kind of fuel management.
