charoal canister solenoid ticking, whats wrong and how to fix?

anyone else having this problem?

the middle solenoid on my firewall keeps makeing helluva noise so I wonder if you know why and also how to stop that.
Any ideas appreciated.
There is a guy that has the same problem at dsmtalk forums and he clames that opening up that blocked off EGR wont help and replacing that solenoid neither... here is the thread with the problem

just eliminate it and block it off.

Your strut brace is grounding out the solenoid. If you have a strut brace there. My neuspeed bar always caused that problem

How could strut bar cause such a thing?
...but anyways it is not a strut bar as I don´t have one
