loud whistling , Turbo?

A few weeks ago I took out the black silencer box that connects to the Low Intercooler pipe. And now in 4th and 5th gear you can hear loud whistling from most likely the turbo, i know whistling is usually a sign of the turbo going bad, but ive checked both sides of the turbo and no wheel play that i could notice. Could removing that silencer make that much more noise? I dont mind it at all if its safe. I couldnt care less. Also I did the BOV dump Tube cut at the same time and could it be more intake noise as well? thanks.

From what you said i'd check for boost leaks. Most of the time when the car whistles while boosting boost is leaking out and making that whistle.

Ok will do. Id rather it be a leak than a ####ed up turbo anyday.
