1st of all, hello my name is Isidro, i'm from NJ and i currently drive a 92 300zx and a 92 929 as a DD. I'm looking into a 92/93 Eagle Talon TSi w/53k miles! the problem is it's been stored for 3 or 4 years and i am worried about the engine internally. i know i should change all the fluids and belts, tires too. it has a couple of nicks and scrapes, back hatch window molding bad so i think it's leaking water into the trunk, hatch shocks are bad(the usual on these cars). And it looks like a custom sunroof was put in so i'll have to check the leaks on that as well. should i be worried about the pistons rusting on the inside or any other internal damage that could have occured while the car was stopped for so long? the guy(from the dealer) says it didn't start at 1st but he replaced the fuel pump and battery and it started right up! for all the stuff that needs to be replaced he is willing to part with the car for $1500, which sounds like agood deal unless i have to spend more then $500 just to get it moving as my DD. i don't want to have to put a new engine in, in 2weeks! thank you for any input and advice in advance! if ne1 has a carfax account and is willing to run the vin for me, i'd also appreciate it. thanks again!

Sounds like a good buy but I would recomend draining everything including gas before starting it up again.

too late, the dealer says he's been driving it around lately and says it drives well, i will take it for a test drive as soon as i verify carfax. if i buy it, the 1st thing i'll have done is the 60k maintenance tune-up.

If it's just for a Demolition Derby, don't worry about it.

He's already been driving it, and you can be sure that he's been getting on it. No one drives someone else's DSM without ....er.... "researching".

Since it's so cheap (but try to talk him down anyway), just use it. Take the AAA card along.

LOL. i got AAA and the dealer doesn't live to far from my girl's house so it won't be that far of a tow! i'm just tring to figure out if he doesn't know what he has or if he is just playing dumb!
