Did the DIY UIP. After I did it the check engine light came on. I knew it had to be a leak. I took the pipe off and fiberglassed where it was welded. I think that fixed the problem because I took it on a road test and the engine light went out. My question is, was the light supposed to go out by itself or was I supposed to have the code erased with a scan tool? Another quick question, before I did this ny max boost was at 14, now its at 19 and at high rpm it spikes up to 21. Is this good or bad?

Yes, that is way to much boost for what little supporting mods you have. You Can not run over 13 psi on 2g BOV without a leak. I assume u have a bov, if you dont have injectors and a fuel pump i would strongly advise you to turn your boost down to a reasonable level.

Yep, the ECU will erase the code in most instances if the problem is fixed. Yes, the boost will register higher because you removed the restriction in the ic pipes.
