I have a Greddy Type S recirculated to a Dejon intake. When the greddy makes its chirp sound, its followed 1 second later by a "sigh". It's definitely not the ch-ch-ch of compressor surge. No matter if I set it tighter or looser I always get the 2nd noise. Does anyone else's do this? It's not a big deal I'm just wondering why its happening.

Hey i had the same exact problem on my 96 gst, pretty annoying isnt it, in my case i had the spring set real soft, and it was higher then my 1st gen blow off valve, so when i closed the hood, the hood was hitting the top of the set screw. which may have caused a leak somewhere so i set the spring stiffer, i also was pretty mad about the noise, i uninstalled the BOV and put it back on and really tightened up the clamps, i mean as hard as i could possibly get it, and tried it out, and i had no problem, just check all the clamps and everything. hope if works...

I don't want to jack your thread but what is the best setting for the Greddy Type S when you first put it on? I mean how many threads showing roughly? When you adjust it what exactly are you adjusting? Thanks

i am by no means a car mechanic hhaha if you cant tell but i read the the set screw on the top of the bov, is to adjust the stiffness of the spring to hold low boost, or high boost. the stiffer you set it the more boost, vice versa, but i also read that you dont need to set it, if you only have the vaccum line connected to the larger nipple, and that you only needed to adjust it if you had both of the nipples connected. and the my noise was a distinct noise almost harmonic, after the BOV would vent..... and last but not least i read to to loosen the screw until you feel no tension, and all on it, then to screw it in about half way.....
