Toronto,
Hey everyone

I am having some serious issues with my 2nd generation DSM, to start it off here is what I have (modifications)

2nd Generation GS-T ... Modifications include

Injen Intake
K&N fipk
Killer 28 Turbo Charger
Manual Boost Controller
Turbo XS Type H
2.5 exhaust system / straight pipe
Boost / afc gauges

Now here is the first problem

I had my car serviced just a few weeks ago (And all the problems occurred)... I had my plugs changed (not the wires) engine flush / oil change (forgot the type of oil) injectors cleaned

Since then my speedometer has been acting up, it dose not read the proper speed and jumps all over the odometer (all the time) I notice that when I shift down or hold the clutch (and possible brake) it just completely drops to 0 kmph (no idea what is wrong here) but the Speedo is not broken, I took it out tried to put it back in …

Next issue, no matter how low / high I set my boost controller (manual) it seems to jump all over the place in 1st and 2nd gears (from 12 – 23 psi) when in 3rd gear and 4th gear it tends to calm down and go to a norm boost setting example … 17 psi

CAR RUNNING RICH … This happened at the same time the speedometer messed up, it seems that my car is always running extremely rich (I have no idea what’s going on) but as soon as I kick some boost it goes full rich and if im really going “CUT” it just dies out meaning the car sorter back fires looses all power … I don’t know if this is the turbo xs type h not holding the boost but someone please help me

Finally electrical issues

My heater control lights are not activated (meaning when I put the lights on they are dead), on top of that my horn buttons do not work and hazards ….

I’m really lost here and have tried hours and hours at figuring out what’s wrong

If you can take the time to help me out it would be greatly appreciated

Thank you very much

PS … I have decided to purchased a crushed + ported bov (1g) to eliminate the venting to the atmosphere) will this help with my bad rich issue … I also noticed when I threw on the turbo xs I lost a good amount of power … weird ? or untrue

For the speedo issue, I would check the sensor on the tranny.(speed sensor, I believe) The one I'm talking about is on the top of the tranny towards the firewall. It is straight down from the tb elbow. My speedo would drop to 0 all of a sudden too. I checked the connector and it was covered in junk. I wiped it dry and haven't had a problem since.

As far as the electrical issues go, when did they start? I would check the wires for your afc or anything else you've added. Is there a common fuse to all of those?

What kind of MBC are you using?

The electrical issues happend about the same time I had my car serviced

when i press the hazard button the indicators (left right) do not work, there is no flashing at all

the horns just simply do not work , the car has "never" been in an accident as i am the original owner

thank you for the very interesting link regarding the speedo im going to go into my garage and try out playing with the sensor / plug just now (once again thank you)

I am running a Hallman Boost Controller .. the spring inside looks to be bent and it could be possible that its ruiend

someone told me to do a leak down test , i have checked all the major hoses (minus all the once that go to the turbo) and they are fine , i might just replace "all of them" such as the wastegate to controller / turbo inlet to controller they are very small black rubber hoses

i have a feeling it may simply be a boost controller issue

i was told by my friend to check if all the fittings on the sidemount intercooler are on tightly as air leeks the car runs rich and it is all correct

if you have any more ideas please please help
