bad whistle

ok so i replaced the stock UICP "L" (long story) and it blew off the top of the intercooler. after messing with it somemore i think i got it to stay on (never heard it pop off) but now im hearing a higher pitched whistle when its spooling up. like maybe what the turbo would sound like if it was really loud. before it popped off i didnt hear any sound like that. it boost leakin some where? or is it the turbo because some pipe isnt tight so i can hear the turbo lourder? whats wrong?

If you're running the stock MAF, you'll know when a pipe comes off b/c it will run stoopid rich; too rich to drive.

I would do a boost leak test on it. If you dont have the tool, vfaq.com shows you how to make it. It is not very expensive to make and it is perfect for finding boost leaks. I use the one I have on every car I work on.

ok thanks....where could i just buy one and how much do they cost? i dont have the time at all to make one.
How can it tell you where the leak is?
