Well the other night i went out to start my car up after leaving from work. Whe i started it up i heard this loud snap and i shut the car off immediately. I popped the hood and saw that one of the accessory belts was just hanging there so i closed the hood and got a ride home and I'd figure i screw with it the next morning. The next day i am under the car and i touch my crank pulley and i can move itOMG. So i take off the front left tire and the plastic crap and see my crank pulley is broken. I towed it to mitsubishi, where i work at. My question is could there have been more internal damage then what i am seeing. When i heard the pulley break that car had ran for about 5 seconds. I am hoping the harmonic dampers didn't get screwed up

after reading some information i think the rubber around the pulley came off, the belts were not even damage which gets me

This is pretty common, unfortunately. All you can do is buy a new one from the dealer ($80-90 I think, been a while), or an aftermarket one. For the latter you can buy them undampened for more than a stock one, or way more for a dampened model. As for the benefits of the aftermarket ones...well, I've never seen solid proof of the benefits, and haven't personally experienced driving with them either so I can't comment :)

That IS [was] the harmonic damper.

You had the good sense to turn it off and NOT drive when you heard a noise, sounds like all that got hurt was the accessory belt. Everything should otherwise still be okay:thumb:
