whats up all....here's the deal, every morning I start my car, let it run for a minute or two then leisurely drive to work, I have this stuttering problem:

I can hear my turbo spoolin', bov venting to keep the pressure equal into the manifold (while at around 30-50% throttle), it will buck a little stutter some and then WHAM! full boost and I'm gone, its almost like launching but I'm goin like 4mph and then my car takes off.

If I floor it, it almost wants to die, its been doing this for some time now and the only way around it is to let it sit for about 10 minutes and then drive.

I'm speculating that it may be a sensor on the tb, but I have no idea which one it could be or even how to check this.

Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I did search and read through a ton of posts, no solutions though...

chris its because you are venting to the atmosphere ;) trust me on this.

get a recirc kit for your HKS

wait dude... i forgot.... you put your blowthru maft setup on..... prob running too rich in the low and mid range... try turning those knobs down on the MAFT

Thanks for the reply man...I have the translator set at the stock settings with about +5% at idle. Everything else except WOT is 0'd out, I also have an SAFC, don't think thats listed in my profile. Anyway, I've got the Lo adjusted and my 02's are great but I'll go ahead and lean the lo end out a little and see if that helps.

I'm confused because it only does this in the mornings or after its been sitting for hours. I'll try the adjusting the afc and see whats up..

Thanks man...where you at in Oregon...???

and another suggestion... that hesitation could also be a boost leak. leak test your car to about 20psi. look for leaks on the i/c piping.... also try tightening the screw on you BOV.

Please please tell me that you don't try to go full throttle before your engine has fully warmed up. Your car is going to run like crap until it warms up, the fuel maps are different during warm up than they are once your engine reaches normal operating temperature. If you only have this problem when the engine is cold then don't worry about it.

Don't worry, I'm not going full throttle, I'm only at about 30% or so, and its almost acting like it wants to cut out, like there is no fuel.....don't have a fpr or gauge so I can't say that I don't have fuel pressure but, once its warm it runs fine. Just like ya said, if I let it warm up a little longer then it will be fine, is it just going to be a nuisance and inconvenience type of thing?

thanx man....
