I have a slight problem on my Evo8. I'm running an HKS SSQ VTA and sometimes I stall. I know there's a setting in the SAFC II where you can stabilize the idle and "trick" the ecu. If anyone knows the setting, it'd be greatly appreciated.

and PLEASEEE don't tell me how "vta is so bad for cars with maf's" or "you should recirc" or "buy x product, it's better". please guys, all I ask is a setting :(

Not sure of the setting but for the VTA, you're just stalling when you come off of higher throttle postion and then stop....is that rights? Thats what happened to me, but I was waiting on a blow through maf, which is on now.

To get around it, I just decelerated a little slower and wasn't trying to make the bov vent as I came to a stop....if you find out the setting, cool but in the meantime don't try and make the pssttt sound when you're about to stop...

Its the Decel-Air function, but if you are on a Karmann MAF, "you should recirc".

yeah, evo's use a karmen maf and I know I should recirc :( ... I just don't feel like rerouting all of the hoses again.. plus when I vent, it seems to help throttle and spooling a lot more than my old recirc.

thanks for the help guys. i'm gonna try leaning the hell out of the lower RPM's and trying the deacell func... any pointers on the de-accel settings? i dont know how to quite work it.
