just got back from the track... it was about 50 degrees, i have no intake, i have a boost controller set at 14psi, and i have a catback exhaust...

here is my "fastest" time

60'= 2.01
1/4= 15.4@89

ok and another weird thing was this... i trapped 90 mph w/a 15.6 but then i trapped a 87 w/a 15.5 why does the trap vary so much

and when i punch it.. my boost gauge goes right up to 14psi, doesnt feel like its pullin too hard... maybe my turbo sucks?

Well, since you have your intake off, check the compressor wheel to make sure everything looks right. Check for shaft play. You are probably venting to the atmoshere as well(BOV), which, unless you have a GM MAF, you should have had your intake on. Remember one thing, your car is about 14 years old, its not like its going to run the time you want it too, even though you have a cat-back, things get old and don't work as well over time. The main thing that determins your time, is how well you drive your car to that time.

oh shoot im so dumb... when i said no intake i meant stock LOL i wrote that post last nite i was kinda tired... sorry about the mistake:rolleyes:

yes 14b... sometimes it will pull hard and its nice.. but when im at the track it doesnt seem so fast feels like its just spinnin and not boostin

Does your car smoke at all? Are you looking at your stock boost guage, or do you have an aftermarket one? If you don't have an aftermarket boost guage...GET ONE. Then you can find out what you are truely boosting.

nope no smoke... i had a new head installed about 16K miles ago because the timing belt snapped on the other one... i have an aftermarket boost gauge , and mbc @14 psi... it just seems like on the street my turbo will pull fine, but when it comes down to racin on the track.. it doesnt feel as powerful and my boost goes up fast , but i dont feel the pull

they are about 1/2 hour in between runs... as far as i know i have no leaks.. i boost pretty well on daily street driving.. just at the track the turbo seems shitty like im not boosting that hard.. whats a good 60' time anyway

Well you still didn't answer the question about doing a boost leak check. But don't say you weren't told... Sometime track temps have a lot to do with things, making the car run more rich= less power.

A good 60" is to me... 1.7 or below for an AWD

so i guess w/a better launch i could see high 14's? BTW these are all my times

run#1 (6:05pm)
60'=2.1
1/4= 15.5 @88

run#2 (6:33pm)
60'=2.1
1/4=15.6 @90

run#3 (6:53 pm)
60'=2.0
1/4=17.4@78 (missed 3rd gear)

run#4 (7:24 pm)
60'=2.2
1/4=15.9@89

run#5 (8:01pm)
60'=2.0
1/4=15.4@89
