When I first bought my car, the clutch was not right. Was too low and would get stuck to the floor occationally. I took it to a dealership and they replaced the line from the clutch fluid resevoir to where it goes into the transmission. Problem solved. Now, 3 months later, it is leaking again! I crawled under and gave it a 1/4 turn hoping to tighten it and make is stop. Did somewhat but it is still leaking. Anyone else have this problem or know what would help it stop? Brass fitting here going into steel. Don't wish to over torque it and strip it out. Any help would be great. :talon:

go on RRE's website, order yourself a SS Braided clutch line, i had the same problem u did on my 2g. SS braided line fixed it for me, never leaked again ever.

PS im talking about the line that comes right off the slave cylinder, i assume that's the one ur talkin about to

Thanks for the reply. Little help for the "clutch challenged" over here. I am talking about the line that goes right to the front of the tranny. Where you bleed out the line. That is the fitting that is leaking. I will check out the SS line from RRE. Thanks

Mine cracked at the fitting after a clutch job. Just the piping, right where it enters the flare nut. I got some pre-flared hard line, bent it to shape and replaced it. It lasted about two months, and the new one cracked in the same spot. I ordered the RRE SS line, bypassed and removed that bizarre accumulator -which I still can't comprehend any need for, the clutch feel didn't change in the slightest- and have been problem-free ever since. The RRE part is a bargain at $20, mine got here (same state) in 1½ days.

ues that is the line, it'll replace all the piping from the front of the tranny, and it will eliminate that black resevoir looking thing whatever it is. RRE has them priced the best outta anyone.

Thanks a ton for the help guys. Just ordered the flex hose. Hopefully it will help. Too bad I didn't know about that sooner so they didn't replace it with another solid line and charge me $100! Thanks again.
