While driving my car down the freeway I noticed my oil pressure was not registering. I thought that it crankwalked again but I could go faster than 50mph and the heat was a little below half. So I figure its my gauge becuase I checked my oil and its a little above the line on the dipstick. Also my car runs fine considering the dipstick has nothing to do with oil pressure and that checking the dipstick really means nothing except that I have oil. So anyone have this happen to them before or what should I try doing first?

If that doesnt work, the sending unit might have went out. The one for the dummy light is only $5, but for the Guage, its ~$60

My needle unde rhte gauge broke..that way the gauge doesnt work either.Check that too if you cant find anything else wrong.

Is it possible to buy just thte guage/electronics for the oilpressure unit and swithch in the dash or do you need to buy the hole piece with speedo and rpm and all?

Wow, what a coincedance. Today on my way to work I looked an my oil pressure gauge and it read 0. I started getting nervous and checked my oil level with the car off....fine.... Then started the car and opened the oil fill cap and oil was squirting out of the lifters so I knew it was the gauge that was malfunctioning. This is the 3 time I've driven the car since we finished building it. The sender and wire coming from it look fine. All wiring looks fine, I'm lost as to what it is so I'm interested in this question also.
