Delta,
I just bought a Blitz FATT-X and harness. But, it won't work. The timer will turn on and I can choose all the features, but it won't keep the car on. It also won't keep the time I set it @. When I turn the car off the turbo timer just turns off. I hooked everything up right, and even had a shop double check it for me. The shop said the problem was steering column related but I just wanted to see what you guys thought before i take it to a shop.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
KRIS

-What car is this for? do you have alarm on the car? What do they mean by steering column related?

Ok, sorry I didn't give all the info. I have a 91 Tsi AWD. No I don't have an alarm currently installed. I used to have a basic Bulldog one on if that matters. I checked ALL my fuses and relays and everything is fine. But I did notice i had an anti-theft fuse but no relay. Could it be that my car was equipped w/ a factory alarm that was removed? Also, the shop said that it might be something w/ my steering column wiring. Other than that they didn't tell me anything else, and they said they didn't know where the problem is.

Thanks,
KRIS

Hmm. One obvious thing you may have over looked with the FATT-X is that the car has to be on for more than like 10 seconds, or the turbo timer doesn't work. Try it in manual timer mode, instead of the auto-timer mode. Otherwise, look for the constant power wire, because that is being affected if the clock gets reset every time you turn the car off.

I tried it in manual and full auto mode. I also used a continuity (i think that's what it's called) tester and there is only 1 wire in the ignition wire harness that has power, is that normal?

are you sure you hooked it up to the right parking brake wire? I don't know if you checked the voltage on it but when it's disengaged (down) it should say 12v and when it's engaged (up of course) it should have 0v.
