i was racing last weekend and when i got up to 60 my car didnt go any faster it just stayed at 60 and so the 240sx i was raising flew by my esi, ne ideas or nething?

until i let go of the gas, prolly like 3 or 4 seconds.

there also was another incident where after i turned onto a bigger street it stopped at 40 and wouldnt accelerate but that was only for like 2 seconds cuase i was speeding neway.

hmmm, When was the last time you did a tune up????? You might not be getting enough gas, Along with not enough Air. Check the throttl Body, To make sure when you floor it, The plate is Wide Open. uhhhhhh I dont know what else would cause such Speed caps.

Do you have manual or automatic. It sounds like you have an auto and if that's the case, then you might have a problem with the tranny not upshifting. Just an idea, check it out.

hmmm, If it is the Tranny, the RPMS would go way high, and Bounce the Rev limiter. Not Exactly like a Manual that would hit the Rev limiter, the Auto would be slower. Try Manualy Shifting The auto, from D1. D2 etc. Then Over drive. if all those work, then it is shifting fine.

throttle body blows wide open.

tried manually shifting the auto, it all shifts into gear with a little lag. like i start in 1 and then put it in 2 and like 1 second later it shifts, and the same for going into D, but overdrive goes into gear right away.

wow, I never knew that about 90's. Very good to know. there going to be lag when manualy shifting an auto. thats normel. hmm. Its goin into all the gears. Damn dood. Im blank.
