Hi,
I just put in an my type x morpheus aftermarket boost gauge and here are my readings.
Idle = 19hg
Deceleration = 22 or so hg
barely touch the gas = 10 hg
max boost = 5 psi ????

This last figure worries me. Is there a problem with my turbo? I have done the bcs mod, so I would have though boos would be around 11 or 12? I really confused because my car still seems quite fast.

Please help,
Jeff

If you need a more specific deceleration number I can retest it or any other figure.

first dont be a dick, second man i think you have it hooked up right just sounds like your not getting good boost, have you checked for shaft play? do you have an mbc or anyting? you might wana check for a boost leak, instructions can be found here http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html try that and let us know what happenes.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try checking for a boost leak this weekend and let you know. I don't have an mbc. Do you have to remove the turbo to check for shaft play?

Thanks
Jeff

Here are the new developments. I pressure checked the system and there is definately a leak. I could only build about 10psi when I hooked the air compressor up and I could hear air leaking out around the fuel injectors/fuel rail. There aren't really many vaccuum hoses around there. So is it possible that my injectors aren't tight enough. Here's what makes me think so:
1.I can rotate every injector very easily with my fingers (don't know if this is normal or not)
2. When I tried to tighten down the bolts on the fuel rail, one of them was loose and when I tightened it, it snapped easily.
3. One of the electrical connectors on the injectors is black, the other three are blue (points to a possible repair in the past?)
4. After all the pressure had leaked out, I could hear a liquid bubbling and I think I could smell a whiff of gas, again from the same area.

What do you think, am I missng an oring or something for the injectors and therefore not creating a tight seal? I'm also hoping that this might be the case of my poor low end, although that's more likely because its an a/t.

Thanks, and sorry for the length,
Jeff

Can anybody else rotate their fuel injectors with their fingers? Is this normal?
Thanks,
Jeff

how did you pressure test your system? I need to do the same. and I will check my injectors for you tonight if I get the chance

See the link above from Laser-man for info on how to check for leaks.
I just went to farm and fleet and got the stuff.
