Oil in intake + EGR temp sensor... HELP!

2 questions here... Lately Ive been trying like hell to fix my boost leak (8.5psi) and ive taken my intake off many times to hookup the intake tester to my turbo. Everytime I do this, there is a substantial amount of oil in my intake, pooling around the connection to the turbo. What can cause this? I did install an oil catch can on my pcv, maybe that could cause it, is it supposed to be turned "on" or "off" where it says fuel? I just left it where it was when I got it, I think its "on". This is really bugging me because I just cleaned out my SMIC but if I keep getting oil in my intake its gonna be all over in there... And who knows what this oil could be indicating, hopefully nothing bad!

Seondly, my CEL has been on forever. My mechanic says its reading EGR temp sensor, and he replaced the wire or something and still hasnt fixed it. Has anyone else run into this? I dont really know what to think of it.

Give us time.

How many miles on the car?

A catch can doesn't go on the PCV, it goes on the cam cover vent, which is probably what you meant.

Sounds like your car's getting lots of blowby from being nearly used-up.

Have you checked your PCV valve for proper operation?

119k on the clock, the engine was rebuilt about 5k ago with all peroformance parts... www.geocities.com/skatepunk83/gsx that should have a full mod list for ya...

I havent been able to check the pcv,m and yea the catch can is on the cam cover opening. It does has some leaks too, I cant find where it is yet, but there must be a line thats leaking. Although that doesnt seem to explain why its in the intake... grrr.

So you mean my catch can then? Can you tell me which way to set that valve so the oil goes into the can? Ive tried both but it doesnt work fast enough to tell the difference, and it didnt come with instructions for lame ass idiots such as myself. Thanks!

-Your can might be different, but the installation should be similar to this.
