I have a 90 Eagle Talon 2.0 N/T. My Tach doesnt work at all, Where to check? I Recently swapped everything I mean everything from a 91 laser rs into this thing. All wiring through out the car with all the components, So its most like a 91 talon, can someone give me things to check i would like to see my tach working thanks mike

well, my 91
gets the tach signal from the Power TR unit or whatever its called.
the square flat blck thing mounted above the coils.

i guess make sure all the wires are good going to and from that, and mabye replace it?

Either that, or the guages itself.
just check all wiring

Well I know its not the gauge cluster I have tried 2 or 3 different ones. i have another Power Transistor i will try that tonight. Thanks for the help guys. n i also have a 2 wire connector that i do not know where it hooks up on the drivers side behind the intake manifold, could that be something to do with the tach. My TR is already hooked up sao thats not it and i cant find a place where it would plug into>

ok, if i am not mistaken, the connector you are talking about, is a plug, that is mounted to the back of the intake, oval in shape, far as i know, that is the knock sensor, dunno if that would affect tach.
but you should have the thing that pluges into it, or are you talking about the part that plugs in?

if you are saying you have the wire hanging there, and nothing to plug it into , then right in the middle of the intake manifold on the back, if you peer over, youll see where it goes.
