Exhaust housing won't come apart from the compressor housing (16g)

I will be taking my turbo off soon to port out the wastegate flapper to a 34mm mod (sm16g). When I installed the turbo the first time, I was unable to take the exhaust housing off of the comp. housing. I was just wondering what the problem would be why its not coming apart. Ive taken a 14b one off and it came off with a couple small taps from a hammer. Anyone have any ideas about how to get it off? Im guessing that after about 800 miles of driving on the turbo should have loosened it up a little.

Try taking a flat head screw drive and placing the head of it in between the two housings. Lightly tap it with a hammer until the housings start to seperate. Then carefully slide the housings apart.
