Car won't go over 30 MPH ideas why?

Hey Im looking in to getting a 95 eclipse gsx but Im told it wont got over 30 MPH. Any ideas what it could be causing this? Thanks

Are you still in 1st gear?

We need more info on the car and what its doing. If it is an automatic the tcu could be in limp mode where it stays in second gear at all time. Either way, more info is needed.

alright i haven't got to see the car because its a 4 hour drive from me. im waiting for the person with the car to email me back but as soon as they do i post what its going. thanks so far tho
