Broken Key... lol

Okay so after getting out of dsm's i finally decided to buy another one. The thing is the key is half way broke into the ignition... I bought this car from a junk yard 96 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, with everything there but some fender damage. Im wanting to make it my winter ride but i dont want to spend a ton of money on having a locksmith come make me some new keys.. Were do i find a key# on the car and any tips removing the broken piece from the ignition. I mean if i stick the other half in the ignition the car will crank over but as for locking it i cant until i locate a remote and or get new keys. Any help is appreciated.

Get a matching ignition and locks for the key. I actually have a parts car with the key and locks. Its a 1g, Idk if it will work or not.
