ok I have a stock 14b and it had a huge crack on the hotside of it, so I went a found one in really good condition and put that on my turbo.

Could that make my car smoke just by changing that? before I changed it, it did not smoke at all?

I'm thinking its my valves seals since my mechanic fixed one of the valves that was burned and didn't put a new valve seals in.

any info on your thoughts would be great

its coming out the exhaust, before he he even fixed the valve it was not smoking, then while he had everything apart I went ahead and switched the hotside while he replaced the valve seals. I just talk to him on the phone and he said the smoke is going away the longer he lets it idle? I just don't see how it could be the turbo if it never did smoke before?

This is the 3rd time it has been at the mechanic

What color smoke is it? You shouldnt have done them both at the same time. Now you dont know which is causing the smoke.

It sounds like there was just some grease or oil on the inside of the turbine housing that needs to burn off. It may have been sprayed down with WD40 or something to prevent rust.

I know but If I didn't switch it god only knows how much he would of charged just to switch it.

He has had my car for about a month!
