The back window track has a bearing which runs along the track to keep the window in alignment. Well the plastic bearing broke and now my window won't go up properly. I tried to remove the part from the glass so I could probably get a new one the dealer but it won't come off. Does any one have experience with this?

you mean the rear roller??? and do you have the window out?? I had to remove mine and i have spares but cant find them( 10pm est and i think there in the car yet) I will look tomorow and i have a 96 pass side class out back as well, i used vice grips and and wrench to get mine but will make sure tomorow...(if i can find them its a mess back there)

Yes the roller for the track in back of the door panel. I tried everything to remove it. I can't take the glass out since I don't have a garage.

i did't have a garage when i did mine, and i cant find my spares i have like 4 of them things, have to be around here somewhere. but the only way to take them off is with the class out, unless you have that tool from the dealer. on the other side of the glass there is a round nut im going to call it. it has 4 groves in it. I used a vice grip in 2 of the holes to hold it and then i used a wrench on the other side to get the roller off. I dont see this happening with the glass in the door.

found my spare parts, you will need to have the window out, unless there is that tool from the dealer or some other way, but i dont see it.

You will need:
Vice grips
10mm open end wrench
window out
some grease

here are the pictures on my 96 spare window.

in the first picture is my vice grips, the roller bearing so to speak and a 10mm wrench,

2nd picture is how to use the vice grips to hold the nut

3rd closer picture of the nut

4th how the wrench gets used on the other side of the glass with the nut on the roller

5th diffrent shot

with what i said above, window has to be out. Good luck, and take your time.

Where did you get the parts from by chance? If the dealer what are the part numbers? Also thank you for the write up!

Heh where i got the parts from? My old windows LOL ROFL my driver/pass windows got busted out so i have spares...

anywho... part numbers and prices from mentor mitsubishi, JNZ can get them too.

(1) 67116 / MB364451 Plate, FR Door Window $1.30
(2) 67106 / MB364453 Cushion, FR Door Window ($1.65 each) $3.30
(1) 67297C / MB364452 Nut, FR Door Window $2.38
(1) 67117 / MB421930 Roller, FR Door Window $5.83

hope this helps ya, if you pull your window out you should only have to replace the 67117/roller other then that, good luck!

oh, when you pull your window, you will have to remove the trim on the inside (looking down into the door) trim part and a bump stop and it will come out, also would be a good time to use the vice grips on the front channel guide to fix the 2g rattle problem.
